Group tutoring is also very effective, and more importantly much cheaper. You can split the cost of tutoring with your friends or classmates! Group tutoring allows you to learn how to tackle problems from the perspectives of your peers. Students who participate in group tutoring often benefit from other students asking questions that they may not have thought of. Additionally, individual tutoring can be slightly intimidating at first, so group tutoring is a great way to ease into working with a tutor. Typically I use a whiteboard and do more of a recitation/review session style for group sessions. Please note that the minimum time allowed for a group session is 1 hour.
